When Tetsuya finds out, he starts trying harder to win her heart. Masato tries to cheer Tetsuya up by inviting him out to go surfing. Aya decides to move on after failing in her relationship with Tetsuya Iwanaga. Seina asks Aya a pointed question after showing up with Momoko at the big farewell party.
A girl with a guitar shows up one morning as the first of three new faces to call Terrace House their home for the new season. Midori quickly finds herself in the middle of relationship drama as she, Yosuke and Rina settle into their new surroundings.
Miwako asks Dyki out on a date after he announces his plan to leave Terrace House after his next kickboxing match.
After realizing just how much she likes Dyki, Miwako tries to conquer his heart by sending him off to the gym with a homemade diet-friendly lunch. After his fight, Miwako pulls Dyki aside to clarify how she feels about him. Former housemates join in to help throw a surprise birthday party for Tetsuya after his first stage performance, but Dyki is nowhere to be seen.
As Dyki thinks about what lies beyond his kickboxing career, Tetsuya invites him out to the beach. Midori and Yosuke go to a summer festival. Yosuke finds himself attracted to one of the former housemates. Dyki brings home a stack of books in preparation for his next path in life. Being unaware of anything concerning his romantic past, Rina goes out on a date with Yosuke to Kamakura.
Dyki starts studying in order to work with kids one day. Yosuke gets angry after picking a fight against internet trolls on his blog. The blog incident creates a rift between the girls and Yosuke.
Miwako tells Dyki what she plans to do after laying all her cards on the table. Dyki tries to stop Yosuke from suddenly leaving the show. The housemates pack up and get ready to move on to the next Terrace House.
With a new female housemate and romance in the air, the long-awaited new season is about to begin! Mai invites Tetsuya on a surfing date. Later he hears from Michi that Mai called him her ideal guy. He gets really excited, but will it last? Tetsuya thinks differently about Mai, who is getting on well with Yosuke.
Meanwhile, Mai joins Yosuke and Rina for music practice. A few days after their date, Mai makes Tetsuya breakfast. Later, Mai notices Tetsuya acting strangely at her birthday party. The house members distrust Mai, who cools on Tetsuya after seeing his behavior. On a date, Yosuke confesses his love to Rina with an original song.
Yosuke tells Rina she is the one for him. Tetsuya finally decides to confess his feelings to Mai, but she reveals her true feelings to everyone first. Everyone lets loose on Mai, telling her they can't trust her. Later, while alone together, Tetsuya tells Mai he likes her. He makes a decision about his relationship with Miwako and tells Tetsuya and Yosuke everything. Mai is fretting over a house meeting. Tetsuya invites her to dinner to learn her true feelings.
Miwako talks to Tetsuya about Dyki leaving the house. Dyki and Miwako are about to move on from the Terrace House. Tetsuya and the other housemates have a surprise for them at their last Christmas party. Special episode where the studio commentators vote for the catchphrase of Terrace House after re-watching scenes that include the nominated phrases. With two big personalities—Dyki and Miwako—gone, the remaining members wonder who will replace them.
Terrace House welcomes Chie and Ippei. Tetsuya is surprised when Mai asks him out on a date. The two new members jell quickly and go out for a stroll. Rina tearfully hugs Yosuke the night before leaving the house. Seina shares her reasons for returning to Terrace House. Curious, she later asks Mai how she feels about Tetsuya. Yosuke tells Ippei he thinks he and jyA-Me are in love. Things develop for Mai and Tetsuya, and Chie and Ippei.
Yosuke asks for advice from Dyki about his feelings for jyA-Me and Hana. Hana has serious feelings for Yosuke, but Seina tells her how Yosuke feels.
While Seina is at work, Masato shows up to tell her his feelings. Yosuke agrees to take jyA-Me home. One night, Yosuke gets a phone call from Hana. Mai only gives Tetsuya chocolate. On a snowy day, Yosuke tells jyA-Me his feelings at the gallery to bring an end to a chapter. Masato tells Seina his feelings. Ippei asks Mai out to dinner. Yosuke splits with jyA-Me and goes on a date with Hana. He confesses his feelings. Tetsuya and Mai pose as a couple for a magazine. At the party everyone is curious what the "love-triangle" of Tetsuya, Dyki and Miwako will do as the only three left in the house. Minori loses interest as she sees how Makoto behaves. Tatsuya reflects on his dates with the three girls in an effort to choose one as his lover. Tatsuya and Minori go on a second date. Tatsuya tells her how he feels but says she need not give her answer now. Makoto has a present for Minori. Unable to forget her ex, Yuriko calls and asks to see him.
Meanwhile, after receiving a present from Makoto, Minori talks to him about her feelings. At the Girls Award event, Tatsuya and Minori meet former member Seina, who encourages their budding relationship. A new member arrives from overseas. Tatsuya finally asks Minori to officially be his girlfriend. How will she answer?
Hawaii-born Arman, the newest housemate, asks Mizuki out on a date. Yuriko confesses her feelings to her ex before leaving the house. And her ex's reply? The boys get excited over the arrival of the new girl member. Arisa's arrival to the house excites Arman and Yuuki because she's "their type. A kiss takes Tatsuya and Minori's relationship to the next level. Arisa and Arman head to Mt. Takao on a date. But Mizuki also has feelings for Arman.
Arisa grows closer to Arman after having gone out on a number of dates. Yuuki, who also hopes to ask Arisa out, tries hard to steal her attention.
Arman et al. Arisa promises she will go anywhere with Arman if he wins his game. Minori confesses her relationship issues with Tatsuya to her older sister, Kurumi, who asks Minori whether the two are having make-up sex or not. Cohabitation continues to create conflicts and couples in the season's second part, as new members move in to take the places of those who graduate. Arman and Arisa go out on a Christmas dinner date. The two hold hands and enjoy the Christmas lights.
Then, Arman expresses his feelings to Arisa. Excitement buzzes as Terrace House welcomes two new members. But upon Natsumi's arrival, an incident causes a clash between her and Minori. New member Natsumi invites Arman out to the beach one morning.
Later that day, Arman fixes the busy Arisa a Hawaiian fish salad called "poke. One night, the housemates discover they have run out of food. Minori suggests eating the fancy wagyu beef that Tatsuya got as a present at work. Tatsuya is furious with his housemates for eating his beef without his permission. Minori's older sister comes to visit and reasons with him.
Tatsuya and Minori depart from the house as a couple after seven months. Upon arrival, the new girl becomes an instant love interest among the boys.
Aspiring architect Yuto Handa moves in after Misaki. He intends to complete his studies at Harvard and attracts the attention of the female residents. Hikaru is interested in the new housemate Misaki. When she talks about her ex, he doesn't hide his irritation.
The next day, when the two are alone Hikaru takes Misaki for a romantic motorbike ride to the beach. Later, Misaki tells Natsumi that she wishes the date had lasted forever. Natsumi starts to cry. High school student Riko Nagai, who recently won a national beauty contest, joins the gang. Misaki quickly befriends her and they chat about Hikaru. When Misaki buys some sleepwear with Hikaru's opinion in mind, Natsumi comments on it and the two get into an argument.
Yuto sides against Natsumi. Misaki confesses her feelings to Hikaru. That night, she says something that makes Natsumi incredibly angry and winds up paying the price for it. When Hikaru suddenly declares that he will leave the house with Natsumi, the rest of the members are shocked.
Misaki has a talk with him in private.
